We support children by supporting whole families.
Our Approach to Therapy
At Maui Speech and Swallow, we provide play-based speech, feeding, and occupational therapy designed to help Maui’s keiki learn, grow, and thrive. Our pediatric therapy sessions use your child’s interests alongside structured activities to help them reach their full potential.
As parents and caregivers, you’ll be involved every step of the way. Your family’s goals define our success, and if something isn’t working, we’ll adjust our approach until you see meaningful progress. Together, we’ll give your child the skills they need to be their best self— capable, confident, and Maui Strong!
Understanding your child’s needs and your family’s goals.

We’ll start by listening to your concerns, asking about your family’s goals, and assessing your child’s developmental skills. Our comprehensive evaluation process includes the following:
Parent questionnaires and interviews
Observations
Formal assessments
Once testing is complete, we will submit our evaluation report to your insurance company and request prior authorization to begin therapy. Your therapist will work with you to make a plan for therapy, write goals, and schedule weekly sessions.
